Jeweller John Greed grows international business with new site

John Greed Jewellery, an independent UK online retailer stocking brands including Pandora and Swarovski, has launched into Germany, France, Italy and the USA.

The expansion was facilitated by the company’s move to a new ecommerce platform, allowing it to develop and enhance its online experience. John Greed migrated to the Venda ecommerce platform in August 2011, a cloud-based on-demand model. The new platform introduced guided navigation to the website, ensuring that customers are directed to products that match their viewed items

New customised functionalities were developed for the checkout to offer customers a choice of gift boxes, the option to add charity products to a purchase and to personalise an engraving with a choice of font and message. 

John Greed expanded the site further by enabling the built-in multilanguage and multicurrency functionality to launch the site into Germany, France, Italy and the USA. Since its implementation in August 2011, the John Greed online store has seen its conversion rate increase by 500 percent.
