Online retailer Lingerieplease.co.uk is using video technology to create a virtual dressing room on its website.
The tool allows users to command models of their size to walk around and turn to show a realistic portrayal of what the item would look like on them.
This video technology was previously used by Knickerpicker, a company acquired by Lingerieplease’s parent Justsayplease Ltd, in 2011.
“We had a lot of fun shooting the lingerie videos,” says Nicola Pringle, marketing manager for Lingerieplease. “After working with Knickerpicker on this project we decided to add the technology to the rest of our product range when we acquired the software. Due to customers being able to see the fit of the underwear on real life models from all angles, we are sure this will improve overall conversion.”
