Rob Bostock, head of ecommerce at footwear retailer Dune, has left the business. Kate Smyth, formerly ecommerce director at LK Bennett, takes over on an interim consultancy basis.
Shop Direct Group, the parent company of Very, Littlewoods and Isme, has named Alex Baldock as its new chief executive. Baldock joins in September succeeding Mark Newton-Jones, who announced his decision to move on in January after almost nine years at Shop Direct’s helm. Currently managing director at asset finance company Lombard, Baldock has previously held senior roles in corporate and commercial banking at Barclays and worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company, Ernst & Young and Dentsu.
Harriet Green, chief executive at Premier Farnell since 2006, is joining travel company Thomas Cook as chief executive at the end of the month, succeeding Sam Weihagen. Laurence Bain, who joined the business in 2002 as chief operating officer, took over from Green as chief executive of Premier Farnell, effective 12th June.
Online marketplace eBay promoted Amanda Metcalfe from director of fashion retail to UK and Republic of Ireland marketing director. Prior to working at eBay, Metcalfe worked as marketing director for luxury online fashion retailer My-wardrobe.com and Cocosa.com and led online marketing for Sainsbury’s.
Miriam Lahage has joined apparel retailer Peek & Cloppenburg as managing director of new business. Lahage was most recently eBay’s global head of fashion and has previously held roles at TK Maxx parent TJX Companies and at Net-a-Porter. She founded online shop Koodos in 2007, which was sold two years later.
After 10 years at Aurora Fashions, the owner of fashion brands Coast, Oasis and Warehouse, chairman Stewart Binnie has stepped down from the board. Chief executive Derek Lovelock assumes the additional role of chairman, while the remaining Aurora board continues unchanged.

Ecommerce agency Metakinetic appointed Kay Harding, formerly PPC manager at search-marketing agency Guava, as search marketing specialist. She has been tasked with driving the growth of the agency’s specialist ecommerce search marketing team.
Brighton-based digital marketing company Pure 360 has continued its expansion with 18 new appointments. Becky Kidd was brought in to help with recruitment, alongside a senior account manager and three PHP developers to focus on building new software features.
Maginus, a provider of multichannel retail and distribution solutions, has further strengthened its JunctionMCR team with the appointment of Richard Swift as its new head of consulting. He joins from Microsoft Dynamics AX partner, Junction Solutions UK.
Data8, the data enrichment specialist, has made David Johnson, a former employee at Deutsche Bank, its new client services manager to help assist the firm’s expansion plans for its online and real-time data cleansing services.
Christian Peck, former vice president of business operations, technology and products at AOL Europe, has been named UK managing director at marketing services and technology firm Acxiom. He will report to US-based Acxiom chief revenue officer Nada Stirratt.
