Vente-Privee sees 10 percent of
turnover from mobile channel |
|
Secret-sales website Vente-Privee says it will generate €100 million ($132 million, £86 million) in sales from its m-commerce presence in 2011. In other words, more than 10 percent of the company’s total global turnover is now generated by the mobile channel, via Vente-Privee’s iPhone, iPad, Windows and Android apps. The etailer also has a mobile-optimised website and says that more than 240,000 people visit the site from a mobile phone each day.

Stella & Dot, a US-based direct selling business, has launched in the UK. The company, which sells jewellery and accessories through a home-based sales force, currently has a base of 18,000 “stylists” in the US. In the UK, the company aims to recruit 500 UK-based agents by the end of the year.
